Department of Middle Eastern Studies
Teaching Fellow

I see a need to reach across departments, interlink advocacy groups, and supplement curriculum beyond the classroom. My proposal is to create a Diversity Action Taskforce that links up various advocacy- and community-based groups on campus, and to supplement the work of the College of Fine Arts Diversity Committee.

What was an influential learning experience that you had as an undergraduate?

What are you passionate about?

I pursue updating my own teaching skills to better educate students to live as ethical global citizens.

What is a teaching strategy that you've learned from another Fellow?

Discussions with other Provost Teaching Fellows have opened my horizons to the variety of curricular and pedagogical needs across campus. Through these conversations, I hope to be better informed as to the variety of academic cultures on this campus, and how to better facilitate communication across disciplines.
