As we promised at the February 23rd workshop, we’d like to open the door to teaching large classes even more, and we want to do that based on your questions/concerns you want to explore and learn more about. Feedback from the workshop tells us that the most interest lies in these areas:  1) Engaging students in critical thinking, and 2) Using technology to accomplish that goal.

We’d love to have you join us and your colleagues to share all the great ideas (and questions) about how we accomplish both these goals.  We’ve scheduled two opportunities for exploring and discussing them in more depth and with a stronger focus on using them in the classroom.  We’ll have a few snacks, shared and practical experiences, and a great deal of invigorating discussion about teaching and learning.  We’ll conclude the series with a showcase of and conversation about practices across the campus.

  • Wednesday, March 21, 9:00-10:15, Enagagement and Technology Part 1
  • Wednesday, April 11, 9:00-10:15, Enagagement and Technology Part 2
  • Tuesday, May 8, 9:00-10:15, Showcase

We hope you can attend this series to be held at the Faculty Innovation Center in SZB 450. Please RSVP for each session you're able to attend, and we'll prepare the refreshments!
