How can you design an assignment that takes place partially online and between students from different institutions around the world? This session will introduce participants to "Global Classrooms," an exciting collaborative initiative supported by the International Office, the University of Texas Libraries and the Faculty Innovation Center.
We will showcase a variety of assignment designs that can be employed in Global Classrooms, ranging from intercultural online discussions that last a few weeks to more involved project-based assignments that can last a month or longer. Participants will leave both with suggestions for contacting potential partners and concrete strategies to employ in Global Classrooms.
