Navigating the Academic Job Search

This summer, the Faculty Innovation Center, Graduate School, University Career Services, and the University Writing Center are co-sponsoring an academic job preparation series for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The series begins on Wednesday, June 12th from 3 – 5pm with a panel discussion, “Navigating the Academic Job Search at Research, Teaching, and Private Institutions,” where faculty from Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas State, and Austin Community College will discuss preparing for faculty careers in the liberal arts, education, and communication fields. Other events this summer include workshops about developing teaching statements, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) statements, and a polishing your CV session.
