Inclusive Teaching and Learning is like a rhizome structure that spreads out deep and wide.

On Wednesday, April 22 the Faculty Innovation Center will be hosting our biannual Inclusive Teaching and Learning Symposium in an abbreviated virtual format. Over the course of this extended brown-bag lunch, we will explore and discuss topics over three 45-minute sessions, facilitated by some of our campus community members:

11:00-11:45am

Inclusive Teaching and Learning for Remote Instruction: How can we continue to center inclusivity and accessibility in our virtual learning environments? Co-Facilitated by Steve Lundy, Project Manager and Lecturer, LAITS and Sarah Le Pichon, Graduate Student, French

12:00-12:45pm

Staying Connected: What does socially distanced community-building look like? Facilitated by Shavonne Coleman, Voices Against Violence Theatre for Dialogue Specialist, Theatre for Dialogue Program

1:00-1:45pm

Diversity/Equity/Inclusion/Access Support Across Campus: What strategies are UT organizations and centers focused on DEIA using to stay engaged with students during the campus closure? Facilitated by Tricia Berry, Director, Women in Engineering Program

We hope you will join us for one or all of these discussions. You can RSVP here, and send any questions or requests for accommodations to Sarah Schoonhoven. We will be sending out the participant link 2 hours in advance of the session to all who have registered.
