As John Dewey said “We do not learn from experience... we learn from reflecting on experience.”

Included in the UT definition of experiential learning, reflection was considered such an important part of the experiential learning process it is also one of the hallmarks. How do we help students to think beyond “I learned a lot”, “I like it” comment? This workshop will share some frameworks to enable students to critically reflect on their experiences to deepen their learning. Please RSVP to attend this session or any in the series. Additional sessions will take place on Oct. 25 (Autonomy) and Nov. 15 (Setbacks).

A collaboration of the Faculty Innovation Center and the Experiential Learning Initiative, this is a series of workshops that will help you develop activities to include the hallmarks of experiential learning in your courses. Feel free to participate in some or all sessions that interest you.  A light lunch will be included.
