Creating opportunities for students to provide feedback can improve their own learning experiences and instructor effectiveness. In this workshop, you will learn how mid-semester feedback can be used to create a supportive classroom, different strategies for collecting and analyzing mid-semester feedback, and how to share what you’ve learned from student feedback to increase student engagement.  This is the eighth session in the spring Teaching Preparation Series, which will allow participants to observe, practice, receive feedback on, and reflect upon classroom teaching techniques.

To learn more and apply, visit http://bit.ly/spring20tps. After applying, applicants will be enrolled in the Teaching Preparation Series Canvas course. Once enrolled in the Canvas course, participants may reserve a spot in each session by clicking on the Teaching Preparation Series calendar and finding the appropriate session. The number of seats left will be displayed (if available).

Participants who complete multiple sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion that acts as a credential demonstrating your investment in professional development to future employers.  Complete 3 sessions for a Teaching Preparation Certificate; complete 7 sessions and submit a qualifying Teaching Statement for an Advanced Teaching Preparation Certificate. Please feel free to contact Laura Struve at struve@austin.utexas.edu with further questions.   We look forward to working with you!
