Teaching Preparation Series, Workshop your teaching statement: What is working? What can I improve?

FIC staff will facilitate an asynchronous peer workshop in which participants will receive feedback on their teaching statement drafts and share suggestions to strengthen others' statements with vivid examples of teaching strategies and learner-centered goals. Participants must upload their teaching statement in Canvas by 9/29 and will have until Fri., 10/9 to complete discussion board posts and provided feedback on a peer's statement. FIC staff will guide participants through the feedback process with resources and questions to reflect on their own statements and each other's.

To learn more and self-enroll in the fall Canvas site, visit http://bit.ly/fall20tps. Once you have joined the Canvas course, you can register for a session using the Canvas Calendar function. If a session is full, it will not appear on your calendar. 

Participants who complete multiple sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion that acts as a credential demonstrating your investment in professional development to future employers.  Complete 3 sessions and upload a qualifying reflection for a Teaching Preparation Certificate; complete 7 sessions and submit a qualifying Teaching Statement for an Advanced Teaching Preparation Certificate.
