Learn the characteristics of an effective teaching statement —including what search committees look for —and begin drafting/refining your statement to vibrantly convey your teaching values and the instructional choices you make to help students achieve learning goals. For this session, you will watch a few videos and complete pre-work before joining the synchronous workshop on Zoom on 9/22.

To learn more and self-enroll in the fall Canvas site, visit http://bit.ly/fall20tps. Once you have joined the Canvas course, you can register for a session using the Canvas Calendar function. If a session is full, it will not appear on your calendar.

Participants who complete multiple sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion that acts as a credential demonstrating your investment in professional development to future employers.  Complete 3 sessions and upload a qualifying reflection for a Teaching Preparation Certificate; complete 7 sessions and submit a qualifying Teaching Statement for an Advanced Teaching Preparation Certificate. Please feel free to contact Laura Struve at struve@austin.utexas.edu with further questions.  We look forward to working with you!
