ClioVis is an example of what undergraduate pedagogy in the 21st century should look like — immersive, collaborative and hands-on.

President Jay Hartzell, 2021 Presidential Inauguration and State of the Union Address

ClioVis is an innovative digital timeline tool that is easy to use and engaging by design. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how embedding ClioVis in your course can provide a wide range of possibilities for helping students practice active learning and critical thinking skills that “stick.” Led by UT System Regents Distinguished Teaching Professor, Dr. Erika Bsumek, you’ll leave the workshop with an understanding of how to use key aspects of ClioVis within your course(s), and you’ll have opportunities to collaboratively brainstorm potential ClioVis-facilitated projects—using your own courses as cases.

ClioVis has been selected as a Digital Humanities Now Editors’ Choice learning tool and is used by colleges and universities across the U.S. This workshop is designed for faculty, staff, and graduate students who are relatively new to ClioVis.
