Engaging and Embodying (Dis)Comfort:

What happens to your brain when there is an unexpected moment of tension, conflict, or controversy in your class? When your students experience harm because of something that was shared, your "in the moment" neurological and physiological responses can act as a tool rather than a hindrance.  We will explore evidence-based practices and strategies rooted in neuroscience and embodied pedagogy that will help you ground yourself and make informed decisions before you act.

Facilitated by Shavonne Coleman (Faculty Innovation Center)

*This workshop is part of a series but you do not need to attend each workshop in order to benefit from it, though we invite you to take a deeper dive by attending all three.
