"Inclusive teaching and learning is a mindset, a way of thinking that asks you how best to create opportunities for all students to connect with you, the course material, and each other.”

In this workshop we will explore some notable frameworks for inclusive teaching and learning. Participants will recognize that inclusivity in the classroom will go beyond the work done in this workshop, identify strategies that can be applied immediately to our teaching , and lastly formulate a plan as to which framework or idea to ‘dig deeper’ into as an act of continued work in this topic.

To learn more and self-enroll in the Canvas site, visit https://bit.ly/22SpringTPS. Once you have joined the Canvas course, you can register for a session using the RSVP link either in the module for the session or in the calendar.

Participants who complete multiple sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion that acts as a credential demonstrating your investment in professional development to future employers. Complete 3 sessions and upload a qualifying reflection for a Teaching Preparation Certificate; complete 7 sessions and submit a qualifying Teaching Statement for an Advanced Teaching Preparation Certificate. Please feel free to contact Michelle Gaston (michelle,gaston@austin.utexas.edu) or Katherine Sadek (katherine.sadek@austin.utexas.edu) with further questions.  We look forward to working with you!
