Laura Struve (Ph.D.) is Assistant Director of Graduate Student Development at the Faculty Innovation Center. She supports graduate student development in teaching and laerning programs and services, preparing graduate students for intellectual leadership in future careers. Her portfolio of work at the FIC includes directing the Teaching Preparation Series, assisting in the delivery of the course GRS 097: Fundamentals for Teaching Assistants, and leading graduate student consultations. Her research interests include non-tenure-track faculty and graduate student experiences and how they interesect with issues around equity and inclusion in higher education. She maintains an active research line and her research has been published in higher education journals such as The Review of Higher Education and the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She is also an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Executive Ed.D. program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her doctorate in Higher Education Administration with a portfolio in Women and Gender Studies from UT Austn.
